Bickleigh Bridge

  • Live at Ted's 2 Castle Street Wilmington, NC, 28401 United States (map)

Doors open at 3pm, show from 4-6pm. $7 cover at the door.

When pianist and composer Tim Oakes became resident keyboard guy at North Myrtle Beach’s Alabama Theatre in the early aughts, he didn’t expect to still be there, nearly 20 years later!

The Bickleigh Bridge band, named for a landmark in his home county of Devon, England, was conceived as an antidote to the repetitive routine of a long-running theatre performance, and is now known for bringing relief to
“same old songs” fatigue in band members and audiences alike!

Tim brings an original repertoire of hip, thoughtful and exciting, jazz infused compositions to Live at Ted’s, along with an array of talented musicians to perform them: this concert features Rich Zimmerman on sax, John Ware guitar, Patrick Pfeiffer bass and Cliff Hackford drums.

The Bickleigh Bridge album, Spirit of the Spaceduck was released in 2012.
