Calling Coyotes is the musical duet of Abigail Dowd and Nathan Turner — two North Carolina songwriters rooted in rich storytelling and deep Americana tradition. Singer-songwriter, guitarist Abigail Dowd is known here at Live at Ted’s for her soulful performances. Her music blends Southern roots and a mystical folk style. Nathan is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Kernersville, North Carolina, known for his work with the alt-country outfit Possum Jenkins and their “Carolinacana” sound.
Together as Calling Coyotes, Dowd and Turner bring harmonies, grit, and stories that feel like an honest conversation around a campfire — blending folk, country, rock, and roots influences into a live set that’s both heartfelt and unforgettable.
